Position Overview
Norvax, Inc. is a leading developer of Web-based sales and online insurance marketing tools for the health insurance industry, helping insurance brokers, agents and carriers connect with customers and transact business more efficiently. From insurance websites to insurance software and lead management tools, the Norvax product suite lets insurance agents increase sales, cut administrative time and reduce expenses.
Norvax is looking for a Web Developer. In this role you will function as an HTML Developer responsible for website development. The successful candidate will work in small to mid-size teams to develop products in an agile environment.
Job Objective:
Primary focus will be to cut, code, and improve lead generation sites. Focus will be on improving site usability, click-to-lead conversion, and validation. Employee is also responsible for the performance of lead generation forms.
Responsibilities
- Cut and code designes supplied by graphic design team for lead generation sites, landing pages, and creatives
- Colaborate with the Online Marketing Specialist to track the performance of curent sites, landing page, and creative design. Suggest changes in the code that may have a postivie impact on site performance.
- Work with Quality Assuance team to ensure that on-site validation is working properly. Respond to both bad leads and false positives by improving validation.
- Create and maintain the javascript validation of lead generation forms. Coordinate any updates with the Director of Lead Generation and development team
- Responsible for the performance of all lead geneneration forms.
- Code new banner and email creatives as ncessary.
- Stay abreast of direct marketing, online marketing, conversion optimization, lead generation, and web analytics best practices and industry news
- Troubleshoot any HTML, CSS, JavaScript or JSP problems that may occur
Job Specifications
- Expert knowledge of HTML,XHTML, CSS, and Javascript
- At least 1 year of professional web delvelopment experience.
- Experience with version control systems (Subversion preferred)
- Experience with common JavaScript frameworks (Prototype or similar) a plus.
- Experience working directly with end users a plus
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to take direction from multiple managers
- Willingness to learn and be part of a fast-paced department
